The fabric decides more than the pattern does.

Most decks lead with the silhouette. We lead with the cloth, because the cloth is where a garment either earns its price or doesn't. A well-cut shirt in a mediocre poplin reads as a well-cut shirt in a mediocre poplin. There's no hiding it, and no styling around it.

So we spend disproportionate time here — testing hand-feel, drape, pilling resistance, colorfastness, and how a cloth actually behaves after the twentieth wash, not the first. Every mill relationship on this page has been built over multiple seasons, not sourced from a database the week before a deadline.
